Nooooooooooooooooooo!!! Our 'net connection is down! What else am I

supposed to be doing at 3am?

So I rented Bulworth tonight. About a Senator, who, in a fit of suicidal

apathy, decides to "tell it like it is." It apparently got rave rewviews,

but I can't figure out why. Beyond the fact that Warren Beatty's

incessant rapping was incredibly annoying, it just wasn't funny or

inspiring, two things I was expecting given how it was billed. It wasn't

so dull that I turned it off, but . . . it left me feeling like the entire

joke was supposed to be how incredibly absurd someone in the government

telling it like it is, or wanting some sort of reform, really is. And

that's horrendously depressing.

Wore a Matrix-style outfit today; black

shoes/slacks/tshirt/trenchcoat/glasses. It was also, I realized when I

left the house, a very "fuck off and die" outfit. Which is ok, because

that's sorta how I felt today. I'm not sure when it started, though.

Probably when I had to interact with people I didn't want to interact

with. After that, after putting a shell around myself to encourage them

to go away, it seemed only natural to continue wearing the shell.

People really judge you on your looks. I think the video rental clerk at

tower was surprised that I was friendly and pleasant with him, given my

outfit. Most people only wear that sort of thing on halloween.

I'm going in to meet with someone from gamers.com tomorrow about a

position. Whee! I'm not sure what they have available, but I'm pretty

excited. And bizzarely enough, I met the guy that I will be meeting with

tomorrow tonight, at an AIDS Ride party. Talk about bizzare. At least

he's read my work and resume, so he had a chance to judge me before seeing

me in death mode.

Arrgh. I'm not really tired enough to fall asleep, but too tired to

clean. Given how little florspace I have, and my tendency to toss things

on it, my room is a constant mess.

had too much to drink
didn't think
didn't think of you
i guess that's all i needed
my heart aches
from half a world away
