sitting down to work on a monday morning, and after I've checked my email
and daily webpages, I realize that I have absolutely no desire to start
working. I'd much rather be writing in here, or pretty much anything
else. I hope I find a worthwhile replacement job soon. I should be
talking to someone about a job at SendMail soon, but I'm wary of that
because it's a technical support position, and, well, how interesting can
that be, long-term? I'm trying to get into something new here, something
design-oriented perhaps, but that will take some time and is uncertain at
best.

had a good date this weekend - began saturday at about 1:30pm, and
begrudgingly ended on sunday at 11:30 when I had to head back across the
bay for some much-needed sleep before work. we managed to tour SF (yerba
buena gardens, union square, chinatown, market, the Metreon), see a movie
(Toy Story 2 - class flick), go to two separate beaches (went to a
not-so-nice one in SF because it was close-by, so decided to go to my
favourite in Pescadero, which we got to by a nice drive down 1), then back
to her place to chat, falling asleep at 3am. crawled out of bed at 11,
brunch in the dining commons, then after some deliberation, off to the
santa cruz beach boardwalk. played video games, rode the carousel, walked
along the boardwalk. back to the south bay - a stop in Los Altos for some
ice cream, then back to her room to hang out with her roomates, talk,
lounge around. she woke me up from a nap we fell into at 11:30 like I
asked, and invited me to dinner she's making for her quad sometime this
week. la.
