[written on United Airlines flight 954 nonstop from San Francisco to
London / Heathrow; transcribed verbatim 1/12/2000]

Sarah McCabe said to me once, while walking down Haste toward Telegraph,
that she couldn't imagine her life without her faith. This came about
after I mentioned my lack thereof.
blind man says that faith will make it allright
if it's just the same,
I'll keep my sight
But what if you've never known sight? The answer is, I'm sure, something
akin to the world of the Matrix.

God help me, I'm watching an in-flight movie starring Jonathan Taylor
Thomas. Ok - contrived holiday travel drama overload. The headphones are
switched back to Blink. I suppose I've been listening to them even more
than I realized, because hearing them is what really reminds me of being
happy at home - musically, anyhow.
